Oh, de8's starting to spread his own wisdom, eh? Cool, welcome to the forum bro.
You should definitely keep animating if you want to have any significant amount of skills to show off.
I mean, a couple intense hours of drawing/animating a day, bro.
Now, most noobs who show up have nothing to show for it in the long run.
But, if you're one of the fiery spirited animators who is the real deal, then here's a couple of questions you should always focus on...
Will my animation look good if I don't practice drawing?
Will my drawings look good if the animation isn't steady?
If I practiced regularly, how much could I grow in a year?
Every human is driven by some primary question they ask subconsciously. It' shows in what they do every day.
"How can I make my house nicer?"
"How can I get high today?"
"How can I get immediate entertainment?"
Every person in the world has some primary question(s) that they think about in a very subtle way, or in a very intense way.
And when your mind asks a question, it has to answer.
So in short, my tip is...
ask good animation questions often.
