Very real form, there's a shiny quality to the dragon's skin, which stands out.
I find your shading strange, because it seems almost statue-esque. And I can't really see any brush strokes.

Are you using layer styles? or just picking colors and patiently adding color?

Not sure what you mean by layer styles, but I'm using multiple layers, yes. One for sketch, one for lines, one for color, one for shadow.

Ahhhhh. That's what a layer style is. I only use layer styles when I want to draw over straight pencil lines without drawing a new line art.

If by strange, you mean the weird, drunk looking buildings, then that was intentional.

I meant the buildings being diagonally placed and the character standing more upright.. hehe
but overall, I do like it a lot!

Oh. He's supposed to be leaning against that wall there. I guess it's not as apparent as I'd hoped.

maybe when the shadows are done he'll look more "attached" to that wall. right now he looks as if he's standing in front of it

The background is awesome though (the character too), and if you shade the way you have been it shouldn't be too hard, since you're only dealing with one other value.
