You should try drawing some line sketches then going in a layer below and coloring with paint-like quality. It's pretty fun.

Second-to-last and third-to-last pics. Solid-lookin' schitt. Looks like, in the pic of the hand, you tried to feel out its structure... as I'd guess from all of the sketch lines. Or maybe you did some disengaged trial and error.
You look like you've got some sharp ideas for concept art, but you need to master that goddamn anatomy. Most obvious example in that first pic. That angle, pose, and even a gun like that requires extensive knowledge of the human body's 3D proportions as well as some technological creativity/know-how for the gun. As you are now, grasshopper, this training will be a mountain...but it shall be a mountain of exponential growth in skill and power. If you train these qualities, you will ascend to illustration beasthood. ...in turn, your increased drawing skill will leak into your animation skill...and when that happens, shit gets real.

I hope so man... the drawings i do on this ol tablet are TERRIBLE in comparison to my pencil sketches...
and yeah. when i draw for fun i usually just... draw. i start a drawing, and i finish it no matter how bad the anatomy is. speaking of which, i should probably upload my newest drawing. ( although the quality will be terrible cause im on vacation so i have to use my phone camera.)

Anyway, there are several technical aspects that would significantly amplify the quality of your sketches and paintings if you practiced them.

And to practice them (them being things like perspective/proportions, mainly), essentially means to keep these dimensions/details in mind during the course of your sketch. You deal with measurements and such during your rough drawing, of course. The composition stage.

@RapeRodent: I know the trollface was an awesome creation, but how the fuck does one fail so hard at drawing something? I can see elements of the trollface in Rape Rodentt, but the deformity is lol-worthy. I hypothesize that the artist was facially grotesque. Optical asymmetry is the only excuse. Jk, you sensitive fucks.
