Sketches

I just wanted to make a page where I can put all my sketches of anatomy or people. Just to avoid making lots of different posts!
Anyways. I'm gonna start off with this sketch I done:

The first one looks pretty good. So does the second one, but the chest seems to go out a little far in the side view. Did you use references or was it from your mind? Since I'm assuming references from the detail, can I see them?

Looks about right to me

the chest looks alright to me if anything the top of the back is slightly to curved but yeah that's just something i saw and i may be wrong, very good sketches, keep em coming

Actually Leo had most of his anatomy wrong, it was based on real anatomy but he drew people with 10 abs and other things, he's not the best person to study from.

You obviously put effort in mimicking the drawings to the best of your ability, and it looks rough too, like it was hard.

That's good, it means you're learning something new, and it's something that you should repeat.

@Edyrem, lol, I'm glad you're happy. The picture was quite sketchy but that's how I like to draw, I will be making more and they will be less sketchy.

Leonado went very deep into human anatomy and his sketches are very well done. BUT. He was a humanist and as such made his male figures very hero like which caused for some impossible human figures. But if you look at his studies of the actual human bobdy, then I'm sure they'll be pretty accurate. He did get dead human bodies and cut them open making sketches of them.

I don't recall seeing his 'impossible' figures, I only saw the plain-looking ones

It's not my opinion it's just a fact

LOL. Yes, I do agree that Leo, along with his fellow humanist artist buddies <.< DID make impossible figures. They had abnormally large muscles and torso's. But not always. It was mostly Michelangelo who painted or drew hero like figures.
I think Leo does some accurate drawings of the human body <.<. Besides, now I have a book on it, so .

Amazing. Not only was he ahead of his time in technology, but also media-related creative arta. Batman = DaVinci's idea. The guy was true a hypothetical-Psudan with as much free time as a Psudan could possibly want.

I agree with all my heart.

He was a masterpiece of a human mind. A man who pushed the envelope beyond what he was aware of and delved fearlessly to understand the form of what nobody else has seen.
Not only that, but he was so intellectually oriented with his affinity for visuals that he even explored his mathematical self in an artistic manner... kind of like in the manner that interests me most... doing equations by diagrams?
