The drawings weren't really meant to be impressive. I think you guys might be expecting too much from those.
The storyboards were the awesome shit and my favorite part of the whole thing. FMA opening two's storyboard was the one that I absorbed the most knowledge from.
The Genga...massively disappointed me.
I didn't expect a hell of a lot, but they went even lower than my expectations. A bunch of three frame head turns and animations of mouths moving was kinda useless, though I do appreciate them being there. I at least expected something like a run cycle or a low-quality cut from a Bleach fight scene or something. I
did expect something awesome from Fullmetal Alchemist or Ruroni Kenshin, though...in terms of Genga. "Oh my gawd; they have the storyboard for opening 2?!" but I checked out the Kenshin Genga section in hopes of finding that cut from the opening that's awesome and Sakuga quality....but was greeted by the usual head turns. FMA also gave us a single frame of Ed getting impaled, but I was disappointed because it was the same episode that Yutaka Nakamura animated in. "Fawk!"
