Pokemon flash

I hesitated to post this here since the animation ain't that good and my voice acting skills SUCK..but since it was well recieved on newgrounds,I thought ,oh well.
anyways a flash short I did about pokemon.

Voice acting, huh? I actually did some voice stuff when I was 14-ish, for one of Zaedokun's videos.

Pertaining to the movie:

I like how you were all:

"This could go somewhere."

That action sequence was cool, considering the context.

My favorite vocal line by you: Ash's yelp when he was caught inside his own PokeBall.
Your display of SFX makes me think twice about putting SFX in any vids of mine. Without a professional sound crew, fullbody can sound pretty damn cheap since there aren't enough custom sounds to accomodate for something Sakuga-ish.

That's pretty awesome. I always love things relating to pokemon that are displayed in cool ways, so good job. Never understimate magikarp though. He can own as shown in the link.

@hitorio funny how you mention Ash's yelp since that is the only thing I did not voice myself ,It was part of a "hit soundeffect".
good fitting sound effects are really rare,and sometimes if I do find something that fits perfectly It costs money...
that leaves me with overused DBZ sounds effects..

Concerning those SFX, I guess the Soundtrack'll do most of the work. Those sound effects may have to be minimalized... sounds good to me. What did you use to record your voice?

...and it's funny how you're the only one that's finishing shit, Haitam. Perhaps the rest of the Psudans should start throwing shit onto Newgrounds as well, even if it's something like a parody. Animation is still animation. Animation is still fun. People will still enjoy seeing it.

I'd rather look some more for that one sound effect than leave it on a crappy sound effect,sfx are important as they give that extra realism ,don't be lazy :d .
I used my ipod and my headphones to record ...lol I got better sound quality with that than my 25 euro mic.

and yeah I agree ! you guys should finish more animations or at least upload more than a few seconds animation.

As far as looking for the soundtracks go, it's not a matter of laziness...but of actually finding the right one. It's pretty much close to impossible to find the most fitting SFX unless you create it yourself, and the others are so generic unless, as you said, we pay for them. I've never found the perfect SFX before that suited my strict tastes, and so, instead of settling for the shittier ones, I made it more of a music video.


This is a nice example of a fight scene without a full blast of SFX, but it still works because the track is smexy. ( 0:28 )

smexy indeed >.>,however finding that right track ain't easy either ( non copyrighted music I mean ).beats finding 20 fitting sfx though.
I can tottaly go for something like this in my future anims : D
