| Really nice ! ,already fav'ed it a few days back.nice angles and animation
I'm really impressed you finished that in a week ,you should work on your drawings though, however I understand If you don't have the motivation or rush it it at the end when you animate non stop for a week

| You know it's awesome when you watch it the second time and found it more fun than the first. Your Sakuga influence is, as I've said before, apparent. The disproportionate area is the character design. If you could design/draw on the same level that you could create motion, the anim'd be even more sick. I found the mech designs to be too simple for my tastes, but if you've got a fetish for 1960s-lookin' robots, you represent! The design of the pilot -- as expected of a pilot. Cool except for the absence of the nose! :o ..but how the hell was she controlling the mech? She appears to just be looking at the sphere, which provided her with some sort of outlook into the mech's surroundings. And she has a chair. Lol. You should also train on linking each cut into one another so that the action is seamless and easy to follow. Each cut looked sharp on its own, but linking them is a different story. The second to last cut looked cool, what with the sparks drifting around the mech and all. I see you've got that cinematic taste!! Your style is close to Haitam's. EDIT: How the hell'd I forgot to comment on the Gainax bounce in the end?! - Judgment::
Sounds harsh. ...but if you score high now, there'll be no room for improvement. Werk on that tit shape/anatomy and physics. Gainaxing is a whole 'nother category of animation.

| Excellent work! Finally I downloaded a VPN so I could access blocked websites like Newgrounds (I use a government-restricted network... it's classified. </trollface>). You have a really good flow of motion, it wasn't choppy. I rate your motion/easing very highly. Drawings, like Hitorio said, are basic and you'll need to do a lot more developing in that field if you want to fully stand out from the amateurs and blend in with the professional Sakugas, you Sakuga in the making, you. Hell, maybe you'll even take it to the next level and stand out from the professional Sakugas Let's not wait and see though; get drawing, son. Also, while your motion is strong, I'm not sure about your physics. They seem really cartoony, so they still feel kind of right, but in regards to gainax bouncing, I await the day I see it done with truly realistic jiggles. All in all, I applaud your one-week accomplishment. You brought that beast of a task down and pissed on its face. I will tell my grandchildren about your heroic ventures. | |

| It's true that you "can draw", but we speak of drawings in levels of skill. You displayed a decent knowledge of anatomy in the upper body of Penis Man (who isn't really welcome here), but you didn't pump design quality of an ascended level into the mechs of Blue Nova 067. We were saying that they didn't look as complex as what is considered to usually be a "mech". In addition, the pilot herself could use sharpening. You know, like her profile (side view) and the Gainaxing you did.
...get better than you are now; train and build that power. Illustration and Animation are like Nunchaku, with animation being the two hard planks used to attack the opponent, and yet illustration is the chain that keep those two planks connected, allows for maneuverability, and is commonly overlooked by many animators that I've seen on YouTube. Illustration/Animation. Hand-in-hand. There's almost a direct correlation between the two in terms of animation skill.
Since you boasted confidence in your artistic ability in the face of advice, it must mean that you can do better than what you've quickly thrown together in one week. Can you show us a mech that you've redesigned?

That's right. I see you're very confident in your artistic caliber, Hula, but are you so confident that you think you're as good as it gets?

| you did add more ornaments to the limbs, but judging from the legs, I think that you should learn to incorporate JOINTS. - Joints -- Gundam Time:
...you seemed to attach your mech's legs together like blocks of clay. Remember that there's something in between that connects both pieces. Work that into your mech anatomy. This needs considerable work around your upper abdomen area in your mech example.

Not for nothing, but Gundam has always been an animated series, made with 98% tween because the desing http://sttestament.deviantart.com/art/Mecha-Tutorial-01-44429484?q=boost%3Apopular%20mecha%20tutorial&qo=0

| Tweened animation in the Gundam series isn't exactly relevant. ( maybe only a little bit for the fact that it is hard to animate robots like those, which is why they tween everything )
Hitorio mentions the fact that joints work similarly in a human body as they do in a robot. Maybe you should watch a few episodes of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann in order to see how they animate robots over there, the show is definitely worth the watch anyway!

| I was going to say the EXACT same thing. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann = mecha frame by frame. - TTGL mech is a llittle less detailed than Gundam, though:
I'm not sure what you mean by "Not for nothing". Does it mean that there is no "nothing" and that you were saying that your statement had a purpose? That it was relevant? I also don't really see how the tutorial you linked supported the fact of Gundams having to be tweened.

| Hula, what are you going on about...
Hitorio was just explaining to you that you need to give robots joints. Do you know what that means? He even drew a picture.

| You're saying... -it was made by Gainax -it's impossible for most animators? -I don't know what you mean by watch "every combat" of sword made by Yutapon.
...but it seems to me as if you're excusing your lack of willingness to animate detailed mechas because its for the highest of pros only. Our job is to become said pros, not to leave the juicy stuff to them! That's what defines a true Psudan, something you'll learn about in time.
Edit: by the waay...thanks for referring me to the Mech MAD. I didn't know that there was a part 2.
