Muahahahahahaha!!!
Post whatever you want; we eat everything up. Your sketchbook looks like the stuff I drew in my folders in high school during classes, except - get this - messier. The irony. | |

You'll just have to trust me on this one; I am not a time traveler. | |

don't get a lot of time to art atm, but it's good to have a tablet now. I'm gonna look at this Lin Ran's painting tutorial, specifically the explanation of color sliders, cause that seems like it'd be good to read, to understand color in general. | - I can't into color from life:
Not too good at making a color palette yet, nor do I have a solid grasp on painting/drawing from life, so I should start doing value studies without color until I get the hang of it.
- black and white composition:
I'm quite pleased with the contrast of lights and darks but I would have preferred to have a less relaxed strangler and have the eye-catching detail more around the head and neck area. Although, since it's a mannequin, I suppose the mannequin's hands tell the real story. 2deep4u
- some character design shiet:

| - My sphincter tightened as fear coursed through my body.:
I had been caught - the knife handle still grasped in my hand, the dying woman breathing her last few gasping cries. I killed her for her purse, plain and simple, but now I had a witness. The Goddamn Batman. I rose up slowly as his eyes bore into me - The Goddamn Batman didn't need Superman's laser eyes; his eyes bore the vindictive force of all my loved ones and peers.
- 'I'm ashamed of you, Charlie.':
The Goddamn Batman gurgled, his cape flowing to the side as his hand reached for his utility belt. I was unsure of what gift of pain he would bestow upon me.
- 'G-G-Goddamn Batman, sir, p-p-p-please...:
I have a family to take care of..." I squealed as I began to pivot and run - it was no use.
- I heard a burst of air as one of his tools popped open :
and embraced my legs fully, throwing me violently against the ground. I panicked, and squirmed about...
- and that's when I heard it.:
- The Goddamn Batman:
caressed my face and turned me over, so our eyes would meet.
- He mounted my chest:
and pulled his Bat britches down further, exposing his tattooed testicles displaying his trademark.
- 'HARVEY DENT!':
He howled, attaching his BatHook through the metal piercings on his testicles and penis shaft.
- He pulled the trigger.:
- And that, my friends, :
is why my face looks like this.
- Spoiler:
My friend wrote the story and I drew the pictures.

| Definitely purposeful, I'm experimenting. Interested in a certain style in particular, but I definitely don't want to only use that for all my art. Hell no. | |

| ..Edyrem with the indie comic-book style.
Ay, yo. Why don't you have little blocks of text accompanying each of your pics? It makes it so much easier to get into your mind and find something to discuss. As it is, I just feel like viewing the pics and leaving. That's the case if: I do what is most comfortable and don't consciously try to find something to talk about. | |

| Alright don't worry, I'll say what's going on in my head more often. These last couple days I've been getting familiar with photoshop's other color pickers. You have your typical HSB (Hue, Saturation, Brightness) color picker. That square with white, black, and blend of a color, with the rainbow slider. Then you have your sliders. RGB, CMYK, HSB again, or LAB. Then you have actual color PICKERS, which have RGB, HSB and LAB. It's been really interesting fiddling with them and getting my head around them while reading stuff about color here: http://www.huevaluechroma.com/011.phpStill gotta practice my black and white shit though. For that 'indie comic book style' one it's definitely experimentation with this style I'm really enjoying. As seen here from a couple /ic/ threads: - Spoiler:

------------------------- Maybe I'll log my thoughts here even if I have no art to post. Just epiphanies and whatnot. My development. That said, here's one of my value studies today - Spoiler:
Got a usb-connected mini lamp. Works wonders for drawing from your desk's still life. | |

damn i'm beautiful pretty fun doing this, being your own subject. Combine the two things I do best: making faces at the mirror, and drawing. Also is a very interesting experience, drawing myself. Looking at my own face and breaking it down like any other 3d object. There aren't many drawing activities like it. I recommend that you try it.
