| lol you're contributing heavily. That's unexpected from someone who's just fresh off the boat. It's fascinating.
Surprisingly cool texture you used. Well, tomorrow I'll see if I can make your metallic idea look more glossy in a cool way...

| What do you guys think of this? I really like it. Steeze, can you share a high resolution version of the texture you used? It's prime shit to work with. I damn near changed the site banner to that logo, but it's not high resolution enough. I need to remake it like this. By the way, did you change the size/thickness of the logo when you worked on it? It looks slightly thinner. Is that just because your processing and stuff, or did you actually edit the how thick the lines are? Anyway let's get some of your outside input on this one, fellas. | |

| That's really sexy Edy. We need to start a little library of logos and preloaders for all the Psudians to use! I'm not sure if I can contribute much to these though. Only my opinion. But keep them coming, I'm loving them.
The texture on that logo is really cool. Can we play around with the colour? I mean, if one of us uses this logo but decides that red would suit the animation more, then can that be easily done by the animator? Just wondering.

ಠ_ಠYes, I agree, we totally should. Although I feel like we've had that old logo for so long, it's like losing Psuda's virginity to give it a new logo so casually. It's like, saving your virginity for 25+ years just to have a one night stand with nobody special. So the important question here, is: Do you guys want to start replacing the site banner right now or do you want to wait for a massive site change to make it extra meaningful?Personally, I think changing it up frequently and letting people make their own versions would be more fitting for Psuda, but should we start changing the logo so soon, without any major site change besides that? If it doesn't bother you guys, it doesn't bother me. Just say the word, fellas, and I'll change that banner in a heartbeat. come to think of it, I'm starting to lean towards the first option, because it'll be a while before some enormous site upgrade. We shouldn't really wait around before changing the logo... but I wont be hasty. I'll wait until you guys echo my thoughts before doing it, since you're all part of this. To answer your question, lelouch, you most absolutely can change the colors - to whatever you want. It's so easy. I just made some color variations right this minute: - 3 samples:
There are many programs that change the color of your image. Here's one of the ways you can do it in photoshop: - Spoiler:
- And if you want more thorough coloring, like:
Or
Just mess around with other things like Color Balance, and Black & White, which are all in the same menu as Hue/Saturation. Happy editing.

| I think we should wait to change the banner when the site gets a big update.
I meant the preloader, is there an easy way of changing the colour of that, in Flash. I know how to do it in photoshop n stuff.

| The site will take a long ass time to get that big update. I suggest we do replace it earlier on.
The logo was created in Photoshop, right? what document size was used for the logo? I suggest making it a really big one that can be resized to anything, basically. Maybe make it in vector too, as resizing vector doesn't affect the look of the logo. Also, High-resolution texture plz.

| Okay, so two of the admins agree on earlier, transitional, organic site changes, rather than just a big ones at a time. Well, if anyone of you other Psudans agrees with Lelouch's stance, you'd best back him up soon or we might just move on and change the logo right away. And Tom, of course. I plan on doing the legit logo in a 1000 pixel psd To be honest, I'd make it way bigger than that but I don't quite have that kind of computer power just yet, and frankly, I don't see us doing posters/billboards/tshirts in the near future, so we really don't have to worry about making it any higher resolution than 1000px for now. | |

| if you want to use it in an HD document, its good to have it be able to full the whole screen, so 1920 x 1080. my pc handle that extremely easily. maybe you can set it up for me to enlarge it and trace it if necssary? | |

Yea I like it a lot, but yea I can see how you kind of need the original to make it look nice and smooth around the edges. Here you go dude. This is a list of all the logos with each effect. Bevel & Glow: http://www.fileize.com/view/4bf6c21f-f97/Bevel: http://www.fileize.com/view/015a9a0f-15c/Inner Glow: http://www.fileize.com/view/80e561dc-97d/No Effects: http://www.fileize.com/view/fc1d73b4-5ad/Actually I added a bevel to it so that's probably what makes it appear a bit thinner, so incase you need it without that (or a glow effect that I also added) I put that up there as well.

| How cool, I learned a nice bit from looking at that process. Thanks Steeze.
Anyway send me a pm of the actual texture pattern you used, or at least send it to tom on instant messenger/email so he can hand it to me.

I meant the preloader, is there an easy way of changing the colour of that, in Flash. I know how to do it in photoshop n stuff. Yea. There's a real simple way to do that in flash, follow this; 1. Click on the logo symbol. 2. Go to the filters tab. 3. Add a new filter>Adjust color 4. Drag the saturation slider between 50 to 100, or as long as the color is a little more vibrant. 5. Then Drag the Hue Slider any direction and the logo will change colors. You can play around with it until you find the color your looking for. You could also mess with some of the other sliders to get some other cool color changes. I'm not sure if the preloader I made has been officially accepted, so I need everyone to tell me what I should do to finalize it so i can share it to you guys. So until then lelouch, I guess you can try out the color change on like a google image or something, just be sure to convert the image into a symbol before you follow the steps.

| Ok guys. I should be able to get my pc fixed very soon, without losing anything. (I hope) So that means I will have photoshop back, Yay!.
And what do you reckon will be the shortest time possible before the site does get redone. I suppose if it is going to be a long time, then changing the logo asap will be better.

| Well, if by redone you mean having a programming-savvy person rebuild the site's structure, then definitely not for a few months. Perhaps it'll happen mid-year or later in the year. So I guess we might as well just enhance the visuals ASAP I realized recently that we might as well make do with what we got atm (freeforum features and whatnot) and see what's possible with our current resources. I already have something potentially amazing mind that can be done by us without the help of any programmers. In fact, if anything, it wont work. But I'll keep it under wraps for now because I'm still working out the base idea and doing a little research on how to work certain things in the administration panel, but I'll explain the concept pretty soon so we can build it and make it fucking sick. Perhaps within the week. But I'll tell you right now that it's an idea that specifically thrives on our type of community. Like I said, I'll make a thread soon. | |
