What the hell (excuse my french) did I come back to? De8, Any advice that is not negative is alright. Even if you might be some guy who thinks he is right all time, if it helps, then it helps. Tom, I have done figure art before, I know the basics about what your mention and more, they told me it was about the lines as well. But, drawing with ink, standing up and using big paper, and only using your arm to draw is a bit different to using a small tablet, so there is going to be a little bit of rust. Thanks for everything guys, all of you, but please don't make this a Youtube Comment War.

Ofcourse the outlines are good, but drawing and visualizing shapes is important because it will let you draw stuff that isn't visually there at the moment. It will let you develop the ability to draw and animate easier as you will be able to visualize for yourself where everything is on screen.

for example, if you have a 3/4 view of a character, jumping with his legs pulled up, drawing in shapes will make it easier for you to figure out how and where parts of his body are visible and how they should be positioned in order to create a good pose.
I've seen a lot of drawings online where legs are "broken" if that was a real person standing like that.

On a side note.
