| I like it alot. Since de8 said it doesnt look childish enough maybe we could just simplify it some. I like the arms, w/e the things that come off are. | |

| I don't think we should have a Chibi style character design, by choosing Anime/ Manga style you don't have a chance to market to a very big audience worldwide. You can always turn it into that style later on for shits and giggles, but it shouldn't be the main design for the character IMO.
Cute, however, yes I think the character should be kinda cute and innocent looking. But this can also be achieved in the behavior and some of the details/ choice of colors.

| But i mean, not only for pleasure of the eyes, but don't you want a mascot who's relatively easy to animate? if only like one or two people can animate him then what's the point in a mascot? | |

| I think the official mascot for all intents and purposes should be high-quality in its detail, but I don't see anything wrong with people animating it in their own style, with some ultra-chibi body. | |

| What about like 2 versions of the same mascot, one highly detailed, and the other chibi, and easy to animate? | |

| I think the only official mascot should be high detail, and for animation it should be up to your interpretation. | |

| Two versions would not be ideal because it's just too complicated and unnecessary.
@darkjesus: Exactly. Does anyone have conflicting thoughts with this?

| Edyrem, I like your design so far, but I have a few things to add to the design so far:
- the line on his gloves, that go towards that circle in the middle of the glove, make the line disperse into more lines going to each finger tip, from the point where it reaches the circle.
- what is that thing on his side? like a holster? we need to show more definition on what that is and decide if it's useful.

| I dont think he should have ab armor, looks out of character for someone with a big ass head to be riped. |

| Progress *goes back to lurking* (I also support De8's motion for lack of ab armor) | |

| its not his body, but the armor that shows "abs". But I'm also having doubts about it, it might just need changing to a regular plate, instead of blocks.. | |

| maybe i'll just make less obtrusive plates, and i'll add like two vertical linings of cool neon light | |

| Have you heard of Dragon Skin body armor? It's a kind of body armor that's relatively flexible, it works, if i recall correctly, by having scale-like plates like in chain mail, but better:P It is rather flexible and hasn'tgot the sturdy plates and abs-like things you got going on in that drawing. something like that could be incorporated into the suit, a flexible body armor. | |

| I could post an example, but the technology behind it is not visible, it has regular fabric on top of it to make it look more like standard body armor and stuff. but my example was more to indicate that you can have an awesome suit with awesome technology, without making it look all action ready and stuff like that
the effect and type of suit can be displayed by animation/ drawings that complement the finished character design.

| Dude, the dragon skin body armor is a great idea. Maybe we can make it like a suit that doesn't rip of anything idk just throwing stuff out their ._> |

| Yes, that's basically what I had in mind when I suggested it. However, this is something that must be shown by animation because you can't show it in a character design drawing. | |

| @De8: Think that design look too much like Tron?
@Tom referring to the drawing or what De8 said? Either way, what do you mean?
